Coincidentally, this year’s Lunar New Year falls on the same day as Valentine’s Day! The new year rings in being the year of the Tiger! Rahhh! So all you tigers out there, it’s your year to shine!

Last night, Kevin and I treated my family to a Beijing Duck dinner at . . . → Read More: Happy St-Valentine’s and Happy New Year!

Second day in Hanoi

Last night, we were pretty hungry, so we went to eat at the only restaurant around: A Japanese place on the 4th floor. The place was actually pretty authentic in its atmosphere; even the little Vietnamese waitresses could speak Japanese. The prices were extremely expensive though, and we were not full at all.

Waking up on the other side of the world

Local time: 7:28 AM, Friday, December 11, 2009.

Yesterday, we started out the day by washing up and then going to the resident’s lounge on the 22nd floor. Celebrity Summit Cruise: Day 2: St-Maarten

Welcome to Day 2: St-Maarten!

St-Maarten/St-Martin (a small tropical island divided between the Dutch Antilles and France) was our first stop on the cruise, and was my first taste of a tropical paradise. We woke up fairly early in the morning to the sun and were able to have a breakfast full of smoked . . . → Read More: Celebrity Summit Cruise: Day 2: St-Maarten

La Ferme Rouge

It was the 25th anniversary of my uncle and aunt recently, and to celebrate, we went to eat at La Ferme Rouge. This is the place to go if you want to celebrate a birthday or anniversary, as most of the patrons were! The food is decent though not the greatest… if ever you . . . → Read More: La Ferme Rouge

Arrived in Taiwan!

Wow… how exhausting the last couple of days have been! Friday morning we woke up early to send off Anne’s parents at the airport, and then Saturday morning we had to leave. I think we only got about 8 hours of sleep in the past 3 days… and because we’re only allowed one checked-in . . . → Read More: Arrived in Taiwan!

Annoying Websites

Right now it is 6:58 AM and I haven’t been able to sleep again. I’m trying to configure Skype as I haven’t been able to call out to Canada and my Oma must be worried to heck about me and wondering if I’m OK.

I’ve noticed that the Skype website and some others are . . . → Read More: Annoying Websites
